Artist’s Statement
| Tapestry weaving is my chosen form of artistic expression. I explore visual concepts, color relationships and design ideas within the technical limitations of flat tapestry and value the sensual characteristics of a woven textile which set it apart from other forms of visual art. Tapestry weaving is one of the oldest art forms of mankind. Its long tradition, however, does not limit me in my visual design work. For me, it is an ancient tool which allows free stylistic exploration. |  |
